The Lotus Lantern Festival (Yeon Deung Hoe) intended to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday (Vesak) is designated as Important Intangible Treasure # 122 and will be held this year on April 25~ 27, 2014 (2558 B.E.)
Lantern Lighting in Gwanghwamun Gate, which signals the beginning of Vesak Celebration, will be held in Seoul Gwanghwamun Square on April 16, 7 p.m.
