The Ferryboat and the Wayfarer

                                                   by Han Yongun

I am a ferryboat.
You are a wayfarer.

You have trodden on me with muddy feet.
I cross the river on me with muddy feet.
When I hold you in my arms, I go across the river
Whether it is deep or shallow, or if rapids get in the way.

If you do not come, I wait for you from night today,
walking out into the air, getting wet in the rain and snow.

There, you go away without a glance at me once you go across the river.
But I do know you will come to me sometime.
I grow worn-out from day to day as I keep waiting for you.

I am a ferryboat.
You are a wayfarer.
