UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokva Experiences Templestay
Irina Bokva, Director General of UNESCO visited Bulguk-sa Temple and experienced Templestay program.
Bokova came to Korea for World Intangible Cultural Heritage Meeting, along with opening of Asia-Pacific Intangible Cultural Heritage Center and visited Bulguk-sa to experience Korean Traditional Culture.
Bokoba made Lotus lantern, Takbon (Seen in the picture: An "ink rubbing" made by placing paper over the carved inscriptions on a board with Chinese ink), and experienced various other Korean Cultural Programs first hand. “I am very surprised to know that there are programs where people can experience so much. I am very pleased that I had an opportunity to stay at this great cultural heritage site.”
