Ven. Doui was held May 30, 2014
Ven. Doui was a Buddhist master of the Silla Dynasty: He went to China in 784 C.E., and studied under the Great Ch’an Master Zhizang. He returned to Korea in 821 C.E., and opened a Seon monastery to disseminate Seon Buddhism. He is now revered as the founder of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism.
